Members of Zenith chambers are taking part in the Leeds Legal Walk on the 15th June.
All donations gratefully accepted.
The walk is to raise money for the North East Legal Support Trust.
“It is hard to explain to people who don’t know about free legal advice why they should support it. People will donate to help children in poverty. They’ll donate to help homeless people. They’ll support elderly housebound people and people with disabilities. They will donate to causes for trafficked women and children.
The free legal advice centres for whom you are walking on Monday help all of those people.
Very often the circumstances for the most vulnerable people reach a point where only the intervention of a lawyer or specialist caseworker can resolve the problems.
Over the past few years, the need for that help has increased and the resources to provide the help have reduced.
So the funds you raise by walking are more necessary than ever and will make a real difference to many of the poorest and most vulnerable people in and around Leeds.”
